BPRFC GOLF DAY

This was held at the Belmont Hills Golf Club on Rememberence day 2008. Richard -Tricky- Hansen organised the shotgun game and the top three teams were:

1) Mike Kane, Ronan Kane, Mike Butler & Lorcan Byrne

2) Nick Superina, Richard Keegan, Jim Wicker & Nick Ingham

3) Peter Carfoot, Shawn Warman, Stan Bradshaw & Jerome Bradshaw

Individual prizes were:

A) Longest drive on Hole # 12 - Brent Preece

B) Closest to the pin on Hole # 17 - Jim Wicker

A few photos of the toga party held at the Police Recreation club on Wednesday the 30th July 2008. A brilliant night with a hog-roast, gladiatorial contests and much revelry in the style of the ancients!

WORLD RUGBY CLASSIC BANQUET

A few photos of the members of the BPRFC who attended the World Rugby Classic banquet in September 2007. A good night out was had by all. Rugby World Cup winning captains Nick Farr-Jones, John Eales and Francois Pienaar were the guest speakers in addition to former Rugby World Cup winning England Coach, Sir Clive Woodward. It was hosted by George Hook, the noted Irish rugby commentator.

DUCKETT MEMORIAL 2007

The George Duckett Memorial day at the Police field, Devonshire.

In the George Duckett Memorial Rugby match that afternoon, The President XV defeated the Police 2nd XV team 20 – 15 and in the main event Police 1st XV defeated Bermuda Select 1st XV 20 – 17.

The Club honours the memory of one of its most enthusiastic supporters and a former Commissioner, Mr. George Duckett O.B.E., who was assassinated whilst still serving as the Head of the Force on the 9th September 1972. A memorial Game has been played in his name every year since his tragic death.
